MISSION

Director of Tennis Operations Yvette Marshall set forth multiple goals to accomplish lighting upgrades which included Energy Savings, Improved Lighting Quality, Lower Maintenance Costs, More than just "on/off" controls. The team at Brilliant Efficiencies designed a customer solution to exceed the goals presented.

SOLUTION
Brilliant Efficiencies selected a 300 watt LED retrofit along with its lighting control system utilizing Amazon Alexa

RESULTS

  1. Energy Savings- Existing fixtures annual utility cost dropped from approximately $11,000 per year to $3,000.00 per year, while saving over 91,000 kwh per year. Based on facility usage and fixture life rating this results in energy savings of over $640,000.00 without adjusting for inflation.
  2. Improved Lighting Quality-Existing fixtures output approx 15 lumens/watt while the retrofit fixtures output 120 lumens/watt
  3. Lower Maintenance Costs-Existing fixtures require bulb replacement approx every 18 months. The LED retrofits are rated at 150,000 hours- that calculates 80 years based on facility usage.
  4. Improved Lighting Controls-The existing fixtures were controlled by simple on/off toggle switches and did not have dimming functions. The LED retrofit can be dimmed, scheduled to turn on and off via Amazon Alexa, Smart Phones and Tablets as well as via wall mounted dimmer switches.
